Knox County Schools will continue to offer two learning options for the 2021-22 academic year for students in Grades 1-12.
Students can utilize in-person on-campus learning with additional safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, or they can utilize the virtual learning program. Virtual learning is not available for kindergarten students. The enrollment choice made by April 23rd, will apply for the entire 2021-22 school year.
- Families planning to utilize in-person, on-campus instruction, don’t need to take any additional steps.
- Families opting to enroll in the virtual learning program have a one-week window; from Thursday, April 15, through Friday, April 23, 2021.
- Families will receive an email on Friday, April 23rd with the enrollment link.

The challenges of creating teacher/student schedules, do not permit students to change their learning model after the April 23, 2021 deadline.
The current Board of Education policy does include face coverings, but we will be having a discussion about this policy at the next Board meeting on April 7. If any changes are made to the mask policy, the district will communicate those changes to families.
