NORTH KNOXVILLE BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL ASSOC. The first NKBPA meeting of 2020 will be on January 10th at BESCO, 1800 N Central St, Knoxville, TN 37917. President George Bove starts the new year off right for our businesses in the 37917 area.
There will, of course, be bacon!! and other breakfast goodies. A BIG thank you to BESCO for hosting and sponsoring breakfast. Breakfast will begin at 7:45 am and the meeting will kick off at 8 am. This meeting will focus on getting to know each other better. So get your elevator pitch down to 30 seconds or less and let’s talk business.
The Oak Ridge Scarboro Community Alumni Association will meet on Tuesday, January 14th at 6 p.m. at the Scarboro Community Center, 148 Carver Avenue. The public is invited to serve on committees and begin the planning of the July 2020 Scarboro Reunion. The first 10 persons to arrive will receive a gift card. The organization’s mission, vision, organizational structure, solicitation for committee members and 2019 accomplishments will be reviewed. East Knoxville Business and Professional Association, will meet at 7:45 – 9 am, January 16, at the Knox County Education Association, 2411 E. Magnolia Ave. The speaker will be Tanya Coats, President of Knox County Education Association.
NKBPA Uptown North Lunch Mob – Let’s do lunch! January 22 – Rami’s Cafe, 3553 N. Broadway, come anytime between 11:30 am to 2 pm; and tell them North Knoxville Business and Professional Association sent you. Help support local restaurants, enjoy good food, and network with other professionals in the Uptown North area. The monthly lunch mob is on the 4th Wednesday from 11:30 am-2pm. There is no formal presentation, just tasty food and good company!
East Knoxville Community Meeting, 6-7 pm, Thursday, Jan. 23, at Burlington Branch Library, 4614 Asheville Hwy. This meeting will be chaired by Senator Becky Duncan Massey with members of the 2020 Knox County Legislative Delegation, with both members and candidates for several offices. The formal meeting is planned for 1-hour, but attendees are welcomed to network and socialize with the delegation once the meeting concludes.
