IBC Blues Musicians Challenge at Open Chord Aug 11th

International Blues Challenge, 2020; Sunday, Aug. 11th at Open Chord/All Things Music. FREE. Open to all ages. Sign-ups at 6 pm; performances start at 7 pm.  All Blues bands, duos, and solo artists it’s your time to shine and to challenge all other area acts for the chance to compete in Memphis with over 200 bands from around the world. Sponsored by the Smoky Mountain Blues Society.

About the Challenge
The International Blues Challenge represents the worldwide search for Blues Bands and Solo/Duo Blues Acts ready to perform on the international stage. Each affiliate of The Blues Foundation has the right to send a band and a solo/duo act to represent its organization at the IBC.

The IBC is judged by blues professionals from across the world who have years of experience in listening to, producing, and creating blues music. The Blues Foundation has established a set of criteria by which all acts are evaluated throughout the five days of the IBC.

The winner ofSmoky Mountain Blues Society event will represent the organization at the annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, on historic Beale Street.
